Winter Sunday Adult Seminars
Join us for one of our Winter Sunday Adult Seminars running January 7-March 18.
John, the Fourth Gospel
9:30AM | Fireside Room
The Gospel of John reveals the person of Jesus Christ. John was written to prove that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. While the other three gospels portray Jesus as the King, the Servant, and the Son of Man, John portrays Jesus as the Son of God. John stated his theme more clearly than any of the other gospel writers. John specifically states his purpose in 20:31, 'But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.' Join us this quarter as we delve into this book!
Facilitated by Ron & Cyndie Hamley
9:30AM | Founder's Hall A
As we continue our study of the person of Christ in the Winter quarter, we’ll study the purpose for which He came. We will examine three vital doctrines: the Atonement, the Resurrection and the Ascension. We will consider questions like “Was it necessary for Christ to die?”, the cause and nature of the atonement, the importance of a literal resurrection and the significance of the resurrection for us. A question that we often don’t think much about is, “What happened to Christ when he ascended into heaven?” and “What does it mean for us today?” The impact of these doctrines in the life of the Christian is life-changing.
Facilitated by Wayne Brown, Al Streder, & Ron Johnston
